Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – transfer to Cat Tien National Park
Day 2: Cat Tien National Park – Trekking
Day 3: Cat Tien National Park – back to Ho Chi Minh city

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Tien National Park (B, L)

After having a traditional breakfast, take 4 hours drive to Cat Tien national park, which covers 720 km2 and protects one of the largest areas of lowland tropical rainforest left in Vietnam. Have lunch at Central Restaurant and check in hotel.

After lunch, take a short rest before we have a short trek with a local guide to discover the Botanical Garden trail with Giant Trees, Uncle Dong Tree, 5 topped Largerstromia tree and Ben Cu rapids.

Take a short jeep drive to Nui Tuong grassland to observe the nocturnal animals like sambar deers, muntjacs, civet, porcupines, wild boards, and even gaurs (if you are lucky enough).

Day 2: Cat Tien National Park Trekking (B, L, D)

Wake up by the sound of the gibbons and the sound of birds, after having breakfast, take a 13 km canoe trip with our local guide along the Dong Nai River to get to visit the Ma Ethnic People at Ta Lai village, ethnic museum, and traditional longhouse.

In the afternoon, take 8 km to drive and trek to crocodile lake with plenty of opportunities to see the Siamese crocodile. These crocodiles are critically endangered which is one of the last places in the world where they can be seen in the wild.

Day 3: Cat Tien National Park – Back to Ho Chi Minh City (B)

After a delicious breakfast, we will visit the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Center or Bear Rehabilitation Centre where the aim is to rescue and rehabilitate endangered bears or primates.
