Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Tokin Show
On arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, we will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to the hotel to check-in. Free and easy on your own until 16h30 our driver will pick up & transfer you to the meeting point of The Tonkin show (Hanoi Tower), from here around 16h00 the bus will take the passengers to see Tonkin show in the outskirt village of Hanoi. There are local cuisine restaurants in this show, you can make some by yourself for dinner.
FYI: The Quintessence of Tonkin Show is one of the most interesting shows in Hanoi at this stage. The show lasted from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm and was inspired by the spiritual history of the nearby Buddhist temple telling the story of the temple founded by the monk Tu Dao Hanh, and explaining the ancient association between religion and Monarchy. Years of establishment and with hundreds of performers, an interactive stage, cutting-edge technology, and a stunning setting, this lively scene is a highlight not to be missed on any trip to Hanoi. Internal. After the show, the bus takes you back to the meeting point, from here you take a taxi back hotel in Hanoi. The distance is around 3km, the taxi fee is around 2 USD. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi Orientation (B, L)
Today we will venture out to explore Hanoi. First up, we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh complex where we will spend time at Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his former stilt-house, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and One Pillar Pagoda. Followings we visit the Temple of Literature, the first University of Vietnam.
After lunch, the Museum of Ethnology will be the next stop, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. Then, a visit to the witness of the Vietnam war, the infamous Hoa Lo Prison Museum. Hoa Lo is also known as the ‘’Hanoi Hilton’’ and where former US presidential candidate John McCain was incarcerated for over 5 years.
Later this afternoon, enjoy a 1-hour cyclo tour to explore the “old quarter”. Enjoy the landscape and you can stop anywhere for shopping in the old quarter ranging from markets to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. After dinner, we sit down to enjoy the performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets. Overnight in Hanoi.
Remarks:
• Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is not opened every Monday & Friday. We will visit outside.
• On every Monday, Museum Ethnic is closed. As your estimated travel date on this day is Monday so we will change to visit Hoa Lo. If there’s a date change, we can visit the Museum of Ethnology.
• Except for Museum Ethnic, you can visit other favorite Museum in Hanoi
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L)
Today we join Halong Bay on a day trip with Wonder Bay Cruise – one of the leading cruises for group tours one day. The service and boat are good.
After enjoying the traditional breakfast, our Limousine bus and guide pick you up from the hotel and follow the new highway to depart for Tuan Chau Island, Halong City, a stopover for a rest on the way
Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor after 4 hours, welcome aboard, and safety briefing – Wonder bay will take you on a 5-hour journey via 2 day-sleeper boat cruise route which is renowned for its striking, passages uninhabited islets and outcrops have been given imaginative names by the locals, due to their perceived shapes, including Cock Fighting and Thumb, while enjoying Vietnamese mouth-watering lunch on boat.
At Bo Hon archipelago, you will visit Surprising Cave to see a lot of stalagmites and stalactites with different shapes of sea life, then go kayaking or take a bamboo boat to Luon Cave to discover the beautiful landscape. (Greg and you have a chance to see the biggest cave in Halong bay). Then, Visit Titov Island with a sandy beach adjacent to the towering limestone mountain with an excellent backdrop of the Bay, and climb up Titov Peak for a panoramic view of the bay-like paradise. (I suggest Greg and you climb up the top and get the view from the bay) In the afternoon, return to Wonder Bay Cruises for tea and cruising back toward Tuan Chau harbor. So now, it’s time for you to sunbathe on the upper deck, chill with music, and enjoy the great fun of group touring fellows among world’s iconic natural scenery. In the late afternoon, disembark for going back on the new highway to Hanoi. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Hanoi – Fly to Hue (B, L)
Time will be free until our car arrives to take us to the airport to board the noon flight in Hue. On arrival, we will be met and driven to our hotel. After that, we will visit the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, after exploring the ruins of this wonderful monument.
Then, we will depart to the Hue Royal Fine Art Museum, which is housed within the former Dien Long An Royal Palace. At the end of the day, strolling to visit the local Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue – Hoi An (B, L)
Good morning in Hue, drivers and guides are waiting for you and preparing for today, then board the Dragon boat on the poetic Huong River overlooking the countryside. Famous for the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded by ancient tombs of past emperors, and a visit to the most beautiful tombs will be on the itinerary for today. Firstly, we visit the charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) with a great view of the Perfume River and the surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is known as a symbol of Hue and Vietnamese Buddhism. From here we will visit the tomb of King Khai Dinh and the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc.
In the afternoon, travel by car to Hoi An along the beautiful National Highway 1A. On the way, we will stop to admire the beautiful scenery of the North, Lang Co Beach, and South of Danang city. On arrival in Danang, we will visit the Marble Mountain – the five elements of the Universe (water, wood, air, fire, and earth). Later, we will arrive in Hoi An. The rest of the day will be free for strolling in the town, lazing on the beach, or whatever takes your fancy. We’ll spend the night in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An – Eco Tour by Jack Tran – Walking Tour (B, L)
Wake up early to see the fresh air this morning, choose a bus or bike to cycle to a local farming village to join the daily work life of local farmers – hoe and soil, water vegetables in an organic herb garden, ride water buffaloes in the fields and enjoy the freshest of rural beauty. Afterward, get on the Hoi An eco-tourism boat and take the boat to Cua Dai Beach.
It is time for you to learn and try your hand at local traditional fishing techniques using round and cast nets, and learn to paddle the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats. Explore the now tranquil coconut palm flanked waterways of a past war and hear of the extreme conditions endured by soldiers on both sides. Have fun relaxing by catching beautiful purple crabs on the bamboo boat. After visiting a local coconut palms village, we walked around the village and drink tea and snacks with local talks. Back on our Hoi An eco-tourism boat, enjoy lunch and a cold beer or soft drink the boat, then return to the hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a walking city tour with the highlights around the ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the street of Hoi An with a variety of silk colors, the temples, and pagodas of Chinese appearance with the lantern hanging in the front of. Stop at each of the attractions, the tour guide will tell you the story about the destinations you come to.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An – Leisure (B)
Today is free for shopping, strolling in the town, lazing on the beach, or whatever takes your fancy. We’ll spend the night in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi (B, L)
In the morning we will transfer to Danang airport to take a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
In the afternoon, Cu Chi Tunnels is the first destination we drop in Ho Chi Minh City visit, which is one of the best places to discover artifacts of the US-Vietnam war. On the way, we will drive through the peaceful countryside with rubber plantations and rice fields. Before entering the tunnel, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were built, followed by a labyrinth expedition of the tunnel, some of which has been expanded to allow visitors to access the schedule. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tan, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs, dropped by B52 bombers. Back to Ho Chi Minh for the night.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (The biggest Vietnam rice basket) (B, L)
Add full of energy in the morning, head to Vietnam’s rice basket, the Mekong Delta. We will pass through idyllic, rural scenes until we arrive at My Tho to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is known as a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River, the village is known for warmly people.
Next, a boat ride on the Mekong River will be an unforgettable experience during your Vietnam tour, visit local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a boat ride on palm-lined creeks, taste fruit and honey tea by season and enjoy a traditional singing performance of the South that will make you feel more in love with the land. Then return to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
It’s the end of 10 days in Vietnam. Before saying goodbye to Vietnam, take some leisure time for last-minute shopping. Our driver will transfer you to the airport. Don’t forget to tell us your story in Vietnam. Trip ends! See you again in another Vietnam travel package..
